Weather In Hambantota

Hambantota is hot with a tropical climate, which means humid conditions. It’s considered the ‘dry zone’ of Sri Lanka with less rain than the rest of the country; rainy season occurs from October to November but downpours usually only last around half an hour, so you won’t have anything to worry about. Make sure you stay hydrated, pack lots of sunscreen, a hat, and clothes with light fabrics. If you want to be like a local, don’t forget your umbrella. It’s moreso to keep you cool from the hot sun than protection from the rain.
